SIMON FENTON
Simon Fenton is an actor of exceptional ability who produced an outstanding performance for IRDP as Lee, the lead part in James Payne's Shiver Breathing (winner of the Woolwich Young Radio Playwrights' Competition in 1995). His stage performance of a villain's son at the Cottesloe, Royal National Theatre, sent shivers down the spines of the entire audience. His portrayal was so effective that even his close friends and family barely recognised him! He repeated the performance in the radio version of the same play, which was heard on LBC Radio and throughout the world on the Internet on LBC's website.
Simon trained at Corona Academy and at the Ravenscourt Theatre School in London.
He has worked in television, film, theatre and radio.
Film credits include the lead parts in Matinee for Universal Pictures and The Power of One for Warner Brothers. For his part in The Power of One, he was nominated for the "Youth in Films" Best Supporting Actor Award in 1992.
In television, he has appeared in:
(for the BBC) Castles, Century Falls, Through the Dragon's Eye, Tom's Midnight Garden, Casualty;
(for Carlton TV) Soldier Soldier;
(for Talisman Films) The Rector's Wife;
(for Central TV) Chris Cross;
(for Revelation Productions) Our Tune;
and (for Hewland International) Dear Dilemma.
He has appeared at the Westminster and Lyric Theatres, playing the lead part, Kip, in The Vackees, as well as producing the outstanding performance at the National Theatre mentioned above.
He played Ralphie in The Not Just Anybody Family for BBC Radio 4, and Lee in Shiver Breathing for LBC Radio.
