by Crysse Morrison The Play: Feathers was one of the two winners of the London Radio Playwrights' Festival in 1996/97. It was our Internet Play of the Month in February 1998. Crysse Morrison is originally from South London but her first radio play Feathers is loosely based on the experience of working in a Community Home for damaged and dysfunctional teenagers in West London. She says 'The boys there were very resistant to education, but I am convinced of the power of drama with an inspirational teacher'. Crysse's one-act stage play Cut has been performed in the southwest of England where she works with the First Cut Theatre Company of Frome. She has won three national story competitions and published stories and articles in a range of magazines including a regular style column for Writers' News. Crysse now works full-time as a freelance writer and leads creative writing workshops in Tuscany and the UK.
