The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
The legend of Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet Street, is one of the
most macabre stories of Old London. Sweeney Todd's barber shop was a death trap
for unwary customers in need of a shave. With the cry "Down you go!",
his barber's chair would swing into the floor - sending his victims crashing to
the cellar below. His partner in crime, Mrs Lovett, then turned their bodies
into meat pies. But even Sweeney Todd could not escape justice forever.....
